About

Our experience in the area of direct to international consumer deliveries dates back to 1992 when our founder first commenced in the Wine Industry.

Some 20+ years later we are highly regarded by many as a leader of the N.Z. Direct to International Consumer sales channel. We're immensely proud to be chosen as the preferred provider for many of New Zealand’s iconic wineries and respected wine retailers.

Our core business is working in partnership with wineries and wine retailers to enable them to maximise their direct-to-international consumer sales opportunities. Originally much of our business was generated via wine tourism activities. These days tourism still plays a part however e-commerce is growing rapidly. Many of our winery customers achieve significant volumes of repeat sales with their international consumers via website and email-database communication.

Our team holds vast expertise and experience in export, logistics and wine sales. As wine people it’s in our blood to care about your wine and your relationship with your customer.

For more information please don't hesitate to contact us. Or, contact any of customers for their independent opinion of our business and services.

Founder & Managing Director

I have developed extensive experience in most aspects of the wine industry since commencing in 1992 in Cellar Door sales in Australia's Hunter Valley (NSW). My formal Qualification in Wine Marketing (University of Adelaide-Roseworthy Campus) enabled me to progress my career to senior management level within several NZ wineries.

In late 1999 with our 1st defence of the Americas Cup looming I founded the country's first N.Z. Wine Makers' Centre in downtown Auckland.

Over a 6 year period my team and I developed a successful business with a significant portion of sales being exported directly to international consumers. In 2006 I sold the wine sales side of the business to Glengarry Hancocks, I rebranded the export side as "nzwinehome". Since then my focus has been on ensuring nzwinehome earns a respected position as being the Leading provider of "direct to international consumer" sales solutions. Everything we do is directed towards working in partnership with wineries and wine retailers to maximise their direct to international consumer sales.

I sincerely appreciate all of the support and relationships that we hold across the industry. If you're currently not one of our customers please don’t hesitate to call, without any obligation. We're always happy discuss any aspects and questions you may have.

Favourite wine: Gewürztraminer, anything fat and rich with some bottle age to keep up with my favourite hot & spicy Asian Cuisine!

Business Partnership Manager

I joined nzwinehome in this newly created role in August 2013 and bring over 20 years' experience of tasting and promoting wines from all around the world. My prime objective is to work alongside our valued customers (clients) and assist them to maximize their opportunity for direct to international consumer sales.

In 2002, I was recognised by industry peers as the inaugural "Hawke's Bay Cellar Door Personality of the Year" - the key criteria for this award being wine knowledge and excellence of service.

In late 2003, I established my own company which promoted the appreciation of wines through tasting events, tours, fine wine sales and consultancy.

Since that time, I was engaged to promote Hawke's Bay wines representing the local growers associations at leading international and domestic wine trade shows. As Executive Officer to the Gimblett Gravels Winegrowers Association, I was directly involved in promoting the brand and also organised the highly publicised, Gimblett Gravels/Bordeaux Masterclass tastings in Taupo (October 2008), London (February 2009) and Hong Kong (June 2011).

Favourite wine: a fine old Cabernet Sauvignon, aged enough to have rounded off some of the tannins but still with plenty of body and acidity to match with some great kiwi lamb cooked on the BBQ.

Stephanie McGregor

Business Administration & Logistics Manager

Whilst studying for a Bachelor of Horticultural Science I never imagined I’d end up exporting wine, despite completing a project on the wine industry at the time. Floriculture was my preference and lead me to various positions in NZ and overseas including managing a flower export business. Having two children was the turn of events that lead me to wine! I joined nzwinehome over 6 years ago bringing administration and logistics skills and experience from having exported a very perishable product which faces similar challenges of packaging and temperature management as wine. I continue to get great satisfaction in striving to provide an excellent quality service to wineries and consumers. After hours I seem to run a taxi service for two (or more) children but if there is a moment to relax then I enjoy sharing it with a Pinot Gris.

I emigrated from South Africa with my husband and children 10 years ago. I have worked overseas in administrative roles and lead a team in Health & Safety. I joined NZWH 2 years ago, my main focus is arranging export preparation of consignments in-conjunction with our warehouse. I also look after invoicing and export analysis/reporting and winery/consumer delivery queries.

Knowing how nice it is to enjoy a glass of my favourite Pinot Noir, it gives me great satisfaction being a part of customers around the world receiving their treasured NZ wines safely at their door.

I come from a history of administration, customer service and sales based roles and joined the nzwinehome team in April 2015. My main role is to assist Danielle and Stephanie with export documentation & bookings, accounts and reporting.

I do have a huge amount of love for wine so I take great pleasure in helping to deliver our world class New Zealand wines to the rest of the world. Favourite Wines: (I can’t choose just one!) In the summer time I love a cold Rosé or Sauvignon Blanc with girlfriends and in the winter months a Merlot or Syrah with my husband.

China Operations Specialist

I am originally from Beijing and NZ has been my home for last 14 years. I consider myself really lucky to be someone who can call NZ home. There are so many things that I can brag about in NZ. NZ wine is definitely one of them that I have to mention here since I've been given such a good opportunity to work with the NZ winehome team.

I completed my Bachelor degree in China and did my MBA degree in NZ on operation management, strategic planning and business development. Have worked in the hospitality industry for 6 years, I'm passionate about people and helping customers. I'm spoiled for options being a wine drinker in NZ, it's my wish that one day everyone in the world could be as fortunate as me to taste and appreciate the NZ wine.
